Saksham Daksh School, Noida seeks to provide after school assistance to VI children who need to be supported as part of Inclusive Education. For this, this School provides services like:
• Accessible reading materials
• Regular counselling and guidance for parents and teachers
• Introduction of special teaching methodologies in the main stream schools where a child is integrated
The School provides: Special educators, Speech Therapist, Occupational therapist, Transportation facility, Functional assessment and Sensory stimulation rooms
Brief Details of the Project:-
• Since 2010 four VI children have been supported. 2 more were added in AY11-12 These are: Chetna & Sagir (Salwan Public School, Noida), Rekha & Shweta (Bal Bharati Public School, (Noida), Arindam (NIOS) and Suraj (local Noida School)
• Saksham Daksh School provides educational support to all these children as they try to do well in their respective schools as part of inclusive education. During my visit to the schools and their center I found the children cheerful and keen learners. Their teachers are fond of them and they have many friends. All this bodes well for their future
